I remember reading the SSOC adaptation, it was kinda disappointing. I have not read any of Offutt's actual pastiche work beyond the 2 stories adapted in the SSOC (Conan and the Sorcerer 53-55 and The Sword of Skelos 56-58). But, when I found this copy down Charing Cross Road I could not resist the beautiful illustrations by Estaban Maroto. I'll have to hunt down the other books with Maroto's art now, oh dear, I guess I'm in trouble. Am I remembering right that it was Offutt who wrote a Cormac Mac Art story back then. I must have lost it along the way, but I remember that I quite enjoyed it. I don't think it was illustrated. ...... over the years I have seen a few copies. Especially these two books, not read them unfortunately. \\\\ Here's a link to a list of the Cormac Mac Art books at isfdb.org. Seems like there's a few more I did not know about. www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/pe.cgi?383

I think this one is also from Treasure of Tranicos. It is indeed. I didn't realise they had been made available as prints. ...... I found this image on the Comicartfans website. I think it is the original, don't quote me on that one though. Here's a link to the Comicartfans website. Loads of original comic-book art on this site. www.comicartfans.com/

...... from Conan: The Treasure Of Tranicos (Ace Books) • Art by Esteban Maroto This image brings back memories. I remember this pic on the back cover of the later SSOC for years. I copied this Maroto illustration, with one slight difference, I gave Conan a Turko-Mongol look

By Stephen Hickman. I have no idea if this is supposed to be Conan, but Hickman is on record as being a big REH fan.
