You're quite welcome, and thanks for the comment, Bux! Yep, I'm an official mod once again.

Thanks again for your great help, dedication, and generosity to all us fans of REH. ==== ==== Hey, how about drawing some art featuring your fantasy version of a 'Moderator' ? [ maybe a sexy female with long boots and a weird whip ?? ] Just for fun?

I want to draw my latest role-playing character next (a half-elf rogue), but perhaps I'll do something like your 'mod' idea afterwards.

Some great new penciling there Aggro!
Reminds me a bit of Holly from Larry Correia's Monster Hunter International - though technically she'd have to be totin' an RPG launcher as well.

I wasn't familiar with Holly, so I did an image search for her and I see what you mean. RPG launcher...why didn't I think of that?

More great pencilling there Officer Aggro!
Sounds like a new campaign. Is it with the same DM?
Did your group ever experiment with 5th edition D+D at all?

Bux and Von K - thank you very much! I named him Eilif, as he's from northern lands that are similar to Norway in the time of the Vikings (hence the viking-like beard).
Yeah, the drow campaign with Beuriel ended, or is at least on break (if the DM decides to do a Part 3, which he said is a possibility). So one of the other players stepped up to run 'The Emerald Spire' for awhile. We'll switch gears like that every so often.
We haven't tried 5th edition in our group yet, though a couple of the other players have tried it elsewhere. We'll most likely stick with Pathfinder, as that's something we all love.

I remember you saying in Zarono's old art thread that he should depict Machine Gun Kali. I mean really, she should stay up with the times and drop the ancient weaponry.

Beuriel Jhan'qos, Blessed Emissary of Eilistraee (Take 2) "But now my goddess is pure again, and I shall revel in her splendor. I shall start a family and enjoy the privileges that were ours to begin with, but that the Spider Queen had taken from us for so long. I will welcome and accept all races - yes, even gnomes - and aid those in need whenever I can, for that is my duty now. I shall seek harmony and we will build a new home in the realms above." This is a passage from Beuriel's journal, each entry basically serving as a recap of our adventuring party's many exploits, and this was taken from the final paragraph. I wrote over 100 pages total, with a typical entry being 2 - 3 pages long, and the entire thing details our group's journey, as well as Beuriel's personal thoughts (usually sarcastic or humorous) as she slowly gained power and then began her transformation as she turned away from Lolth, the evil Spider Queen goddess. She had many doubts about herself as she was accepted into Eilistraee's fold, but in the end she was ready to completely dedicate herself. I wanted to display that in this drawing once again, as I wasn't quite satisfied with my last effort to do so. I feel that this representation of the kinder, softer Beuriel is better than the last portrait I attempted. For the first time, she is about to FULLY participate in one of Eilistraee's moonlight dancing rituals that her priestesses perform nude, so here she is removing her shawl. The shadowy silhouette of the dancing Eilistraee can be seen before the moon in the background. The prestige class she has is Blessed Emissary of Eilistraee (which is huge on healing powers) - hence the title.

sorry but the 'fading light shading effect' does not work for me. it looks like she is becoming hairy all over? [ turning into a were-bitch ?? ] but, nice face [ as usual ]. Thanks. her eyes are great and trying to penetrate my hidden soul. - [ maybe re-do it with a very black sky background, and her skin clear and normal ? and her black silhouette across the bright moon? ]

Thanks. her eyes are great and trying to penetrate my hidden soul. - [ maybe re-do it with a very black sky background, and her skin clear and normal ? and her black silhouette across the bright moon? ] I did it in colored pencil on sketch paper, so there's no "fading light shading effect" that I was trying to do. You're probably seeing the texture of the paper (check out my other colored pencil drawings here and you'll see the same thing), and the scanned image is a little larger than the actual drawing, so that's probably bringing that out more. Also, I can do very black with ink, but not colored pencil. I'm very happy with this one and have been receiving great feedback so far, so I won't be redoing it (plus it took several hours). Anyway, thanks for commenting.

I think this version of Beuriel is more in harmony with your own artistic style. But the expression on her face looks sad and reluctant. In the context of her story, it's as if she doesn't really want to do this. I hesitate to make any suggestions, but maybe if she looked happier ... or more confident ... or more accepting? I might say "more exalted", but that might require her to be looking toward the sky rather than directly at the viewer...
I say this with all due respect for your talent.
