You could probably rationalize ways for Fett to survive the sarlacc, like suit armour with some built in life support plus some way of triggering the sarlacc to belch him out perhaps? Yet the fact that Leia killed Jabba and Han was the one who inadvertently caused Fett's demise all had a kind of poetic justice to it.

So The Mandalorian is set after ROTJ?
Some years ago, back when Dark Horse had the license to produce SW comics, they did an out-of-continuity story featuring the comedy characters Tag and Bink, who rescue Boba Fett from the Sarlacc. Afterwards, Fett says to them "Now what are we going to say if anyone asks about this?" and the response is "That Boba Fett does not scream like a girl, and was in no way thwarted by a blind guy waving a stick."

Never heard of em before, but what an amusing concept, these minor characters deliberately or accidentally influencing events in the Star Wars universe without the main stars knowing anything about any of it Almost made a cameo appearance in the Solo movie.

I like this trailer even though I have not seen any of the these new additions. I liked the first two instalments of the latest trilogy. I think the final movie will be the same for me. Too bad DJ played by Benicio del Toro will not be back.

This new poster for Star Wars 9 is kinda cool, reminds me of the early stuff.

What a missed opportunity. The Mandalorian would have made a great film in the Star Wars franchise. Instead, they made a series where the best stuff will be in the early episodes, and at some point it will jump the shark and go down hill from there on.
Been there, done that ( GoT ), got the t shirt and hat too .

I used to rate Darth Vader as my favourite Galactic Empire bad guy, but I think Emperor Palpatine has succeeded Vader in that regard.
Kind of happy that he will be coming back in episode 9.

The Mandalorian looks awesome. (with Carl Weathers and Werner Herzog FFS!)
but I'm not inclined to subscribe to yet another streaming service.
First world problems.

I liked things about ep 1 of the The Mandalorian. Episode two and onward is crap.

The Mandalorian isnt bad, basically a space spaghetti western meets Lone Wolf & Cub. It's better than the last two films, you can tell the creative forces behind this actually love Star Wars.
I'm enjoying it so far, it's cool to see a live-action Star Wars series.

I like the time period in which it's set (seemingly just after Return of the Jedi), and not really keeping up with much Star Wars lore outside of the main films I have no real background understanding on the Mandalorians so their 'society' and place in SW lore is fresh to me (which means I'm a bit liberated from the 'purity' bug that gets me too often!)
