No barrels involved It introduces the guys who Clint ended up blowing away as the cannons were going off at the hotel. I dunno why, but I remember those guys mentioning the death of Ramon to Tuco and they go to avenge him at the hotel!!??! Maybe it’s a multiverse Ramon, GBU takes place in 1862 or so, Fistful is supposedly around 10 years later. Anyway he gets the poncho in GBU so that’s gotta be first! :-)

Obi-Wan finale... We didn't need this but the fight scene was great. Some people love that we have a canonical reason why Obi-Wan calls him "Darth" in a New Hope now but it wasn't hard to read between the lines to begin with. Plus, they couldn't spill the beans by calling him Anakin.
The Reva actress actually did a good job this episode, too. Maybe the flat dialogue delivery was something she did on purpose so she could actually act in the finale?
Overall I'd say this was a good streaming series but we don't need anymore episodes from this era or a Reva series. We need more Mando.

I agree about Reva, and it was also my thought that her bad acting fit with the character, since she wasn't actually evil. She previously had to act evil, and it wasn't true to who she was. The actress proved in the finale that she was perfectly capable.
And yes, more Mando!

And yes, more Mando! Also enjoyed it overall; I think I agree with Johnnypt's assesment which seems to be "Good enough, fun, not essential". One problem I did have was: ***SPOILER BELOW, I'M NOT FANCY ENOUGH TO INSERT THE "CLICK TO SHOW" CODE, SO AVERT YOUR EYES*** And this technically wasn't the finale, but the one before the finale... I don't think Vader would have left a wounded enemy (Reva) alive... just seems like his style is very much "overwhelming force in full frontal assault and destroy everything in the way", and Reva was definitely an enemy who was in the way. I did like how that fight was set up to show that Vader wasn't working hard to fend her off; I thought that was a great way to maintain his "great villain of all time" status. But I'm pretty sure he would've finished the job so to speak before driving on with his Kenobi mission.

Moses Ingram’s best work was in the final episode. Overall it did end up pushing into the territory John Byrne did when he had Storm show up in Hidden Years. There’s nothing to say it DIDN’T happen but it does push things to the limit. Still enjoyed it, but if they do more it needs to be Tatooine based. He can’t keep running all over the galaxy AND stay hidden.

I think we'll get another Obi-Wan project... One thing I'm surprised they didn't delve into... Obi-Wan's family. He says he remembers having a baby brother in an earlier episode. According to some web searches, his younger brother was none other than Owen Lars. Tig(?) Lars, the guy who married Simi Skywalker had a previous wife on another planet who was the mother of Obi-Wan and Owen, they lived on that planet before coming to Tatooine and Obi-Wan being taken as a Youngling. This is according to old screenplays and notes I guess, so I'm not sure if it's official canon... yet. But there is no doubt MacGregor and *redacted* kind of tapped into a bit of that in their performances.

I remember reading complaints from some fans about the other series spending too much time on Tatooine and not exploring the rest of the galaxy, so hopefully this at least satisfied them. But I definitely agree with you about Kenobi staying on Tatooine for the reason you mentioned.

I finished Obi-Wan today. It was OK.
The Vader duel was cool, I'd have liked it more if had went uncut without the Reva v. Lars scenes cut in.
There were some cool shots in the duel that would have made a fine Del Rey book cover.

There were some cool shots in the duel that would have made a fine Del Rey book cover. IMO Obi-Wan was has the same problem as basically everything Star Wars since the original trilogy. And that is that it has great, even fantastic scenes, where I think 'wow, this is how Star Wars is meant to be' followed by some really crappy scenes that mar the whole film/series. **Spoilers below, just in case** Good examples in Obi-Wan were the lightsaber duel, which I agree was just class, and a few other highlights like Vader plucking the refugee ship out of the air as it was about to leave. But it also had stupid moments (the forest chase scene with little Leia is almost unforgivable), along with pretty ropey story-telling that undermined a lot of it (for me at least). This is pretty typical though. Even The Phantom Menace had some excellent parts (like the three way fight with Darth Maul). And you can name great bits from virtually all the films. There just aren't enough of those scenes to take the films from 'ok to not bad if you love Star Wars' to becoming classics.

Need planet made of candy. Haven't seen that yet.

I've not seen it yet but Andor looks to be the best thing from Disney Star Wars since Rogue One. Just to emphasise and add to Char Vell and terryallenuk's comments on it here's the Critical Drinker's take on season one:

I enjoyed Andor, though it hasn’t lived up to Rogue One yet. There’s still a whole additional season to go. There’s probably one or two episodes of fat that could have been trimmed from season 1, and a plot thread that’s not needed.
