Well given that Issue #11 saw the conclusion of the storyline So I'm wondering what Issue 12 is going to be

The solicit info certainly doesn't sound correct now. My guess is some kind of follow-up/set-up for what's next, whenever we get it.

I e-mailed DH and asked what's the plans for more Conan?
"Yes, we do have plans to publish more Conan. However, at this time, we cannot confirm a timeline of what we will be releasing. Please check back on our website for the most up to date news and releases!"
So looks like it might be awhile.

Oh boy...that doesn't sound good. They don't even know WHAT they'll be releasing. I was only getting one book a month as it was and this was it.
I think they'll end up going the mini route, jumping over POTBC and doing whatever story with whoever they can bring aboard.

DH is in an odd spot. They're bleeding money in a way and Conan has a fairly comfortable niche (it's consistently at the number 8 or 7 spot) and when you're bleeding money you stick with things that are reliable moneymakers. But at the same time it's like they're in a bind. They don't know what to do with Conan so they're just spitballing. At this point once the final stories are done (which at this point could be done in a few miniseries) they could probably just wrap up the character and be done with it

Interesting how the timing works out: Conan The Slayer #12 (hopefully) comes out end of August. Then September thru December you have Conan/Wonder Woman. So technically there will be Conan on the stands through the end of the year. Terry, looks like your idea about the mini taking the place of the regular series for now is 100% correct.

Conan's been in a rough patch for a while. Queen of the Black Coast had bad writing AND bad art. Avenger had good writing but bad art. Methinks that if DH had forced Brian Ching to be better (like he can be) or gotten Sergio it may have salvaged things.
Once trust is broken it's hard to regain. Even if Slayer is a massive step in the right direction the damage is done to the point it's hard to recover.
At best one can argue that they're regrouping, trying to discuss a new game plan or relaunch it.

The problem I feel with the WW cross-over is it could go two ways , be really popular and thoughts might go to other stories like that or if it crashes what do DH do then ?

Will DH be capable of producing a new Conan mini-series before the Wonder Woman crossover is finished in 6 months time? I doubt it. If Dark Horse have hired a new creative team to work on the new series they should be beyond conceptual stage by now - I think that is also highly unlikely. But, hopefully, maybe DH has some kinda idea where Conan is heading, but feel it's too early to announce the new series yet.
This is all so confusing.

. To quote Fred Flintstone "Uh boy...". The B&W version looked better. Maybe it is time for a break.
