Pictorial 187 is the Chinese virus versus the half-Chinese victor. Raducal news An emerging theme seems the ability to break opponents' preconceived patterns of heavy-hitting. This could be due to a Lee-like ability to split thought from action. She has spurts of thought, then settles into pure relaxed flow-of-action, letting the technique work automatically (from practice). Like Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do, the routine is separate from the fight-rhythm or game-flow.

Pictorial 188 is tied into a T-shirt design by artist Elena, 'destruction of the new by the old'. (The youthful Raducanu represents a revival of old-values espoused by Billie-Jean King and her like.)
NOTE Having seen the Raducanu post-victory press, it occurred to me she may not agree with my statements. This is someone who as a student was immersed in calculus and likely has faith in science.
Assuming that, if you look at the match highlights, she wins one point with a forehand down the line: there is no thought because thinking slows you down. She is intimidating owing to that quality.
It's something the person may not even realize. They are better than the practice because they are natural. The faith in science is misplaced owing to the intellect giving too much credence to the logic; it will be interesting to see if she stays this natural or is gradually corrupted by 'them'.

Pictorial 191 is first of two on untidiness and brutality of action without routine (or conscious thought). I've in the meantime realized Raducanu is even more revolutionary, so there are intermittent mentions.

Pictorial 193This is just an extra page as I was leafing through The Art of Walt Disney by Christopher Finch. My copy's dated 1975 and has influenced me somewhat over the years. Finch is British but writes like an American; more to the point he's a trained artist.

Here's Hyborian Bridge 194. What is outside of the system of perspective space that convinces the head? Not just erotic strength, but the underworld of myth.
