So I guess the kickstart for Conan: Rise of Monsters is up and active. Apparently there was one earlier but they cancelled it and reorganized, then are starting this new one. It's over $100K already. Seems to be a miniatures battle game, with pre-painted minis. The base set will be $150 and the upgraded one is a $300 pledge. Seems a little steep for a two-player game, but you can download the rules and stuff for free on DriveThruRPG.
I don't know much about this game yet, but I like the notion of pre-painted minis. I'm not a good painter, and this would save me a bunch of headache and a bunch of time.
Anyone know more about the game?

Hey Finarvyn! Well, I like to be a positive thinker when possible, but as I recall, the premise of the original game sounded a little lame and wasn't very close to REH Conan. I haven't researched this new version.

I looked at the kickstart page and it looked really sweet. Nice artwork, funky dice. I love pre-painted minis and that's an added bonus. Plus the free downloads of the rules and other stuff needed to play... I love REH but don't really consider myself to be an "expert" so I don't know how authentic this stuff is designed, but it looks nice. Since there are 2 weeks or so left, I probably will wait on a pledge until I find out what you think of it.
