"Diana has escaped the Cimmerian gladiator's arena, but she's exchanged that battleground for an equally dire fate. Now she's chained to Conan - the warrior who refused to fight - and they've been sold to a pirate's crew!"
What the hell is going on here? From the previous blurb for #1, it sounded like Conan had drifted into the DC Universe. This sounds like the opposite.
I've never seen anything from Simone that shows she has any real grasp of the Hyborian Age. When the hell did Cimmerians start having "gladiator arenas"? Does Cimmeria have a coastline now? I'll bet she also portrayed Cimmerian women as totally non-martial, despite what was said in Black Colossus.
I have a bad feeling about this.

Yeah, the mention of the gladiatorial arena has me shaking my head. It seems like they're really whoring out Conan to Time Warner and crossing their fingers here.
