This has been out for a couple of weeks now. Anyone read this series? This reviewer seems impressed: www.thepullbox.com/2017/10/ke2/A couple of pages I managed to find online.

Well what do you know? A very thoughtful review by someone who knows what they're talking about. I do wish DH had tackled Tuzun Thune instead of Hate Witch, they could have even done something like this. Still not sure I like the idea, but from this review, I'm thinking the book was mismarketed (there's a surprise for REH). If they'd presented it as this reviewer noted, that it DOES keep Howard in mind while branching out on its own, maybe there'd have been a little more interest from the main target audience, US! I'm not really buying anything these days, but maybe I'll try them online.

With improved marketing and artwork this coulda been a pretty decent Kull book.

The mirrors of Tuzun Thune have never looked so . . . mundane.

That's a well-written review by someone who does seem to know REH... I can't see myself dropping 4 bucks on this, though.
This was so not the way to launch this property at a new publisher.

Okay spoilers....The mirrors throw Kull through various eras in time when the serpent men are still plotting and planning against humanity. Kull needs to ensure the rise of New Atlantis in the future to ensure the final fall of the serpent men and Thuzun Thune is the Elder god's agent.
That's.....actually not too terrible. It keeps the weird metaphysical nature of the original story while also making Thuzun more heroic rather than whatever the fuck he was in the original tale (sorta like how the Witcher games make Avallac'h more ambiguous but ultimately on the good guy's side rather than the villain he was in the books).
