I always wondered how to pronounce Cinque Ports!
But how do you pronounce Khlit the Cossack?

We need to make damn sure we know how to pronounce "Ka nama kaa lajerama". When I try to pronounce that, I always gag on the third word. Does that mean I'm a serpent man?

On the list of words there...I tend to pronounce the letter C as K or as Kh-, like in the word "Cat". So the C in Cimmeria would be pronounced like the C in Carpathia (karpathia/Kimmeria). And Crom would sound like Krom. To pronounce the letter C as Ch...Cha cha cha, gives it a bit too "Chinese" sound that doesn't quite fit my language-buds right.. But that's just me.

We were making a joke about the way one of the characters talked in the story "Children of the Night"

So I listened to a reading of The Shadow Kingdom recently, and the reader sort of intoned Ka Nama Kaa Lajerama, it made me think of how Hadji from Johnny Quest might pronounce it.
I'm going with it from now on. Bring it, Serpent Men!

In Brazilian Portuguese, "Ka nama kaa lajerama" is pronouced "Kah nun-mah kah-ah lah-je-run-ma", and "j" here in Brazil is spelled just like in China and France. Do we Brazilians have a taint in our blood too?
