I was able to get a copy of Painting with Fire on DVD and it was well worth it. What else can you say but Frazetta is still at the top of the list.

Does anyone have a good scan of the painting on the right from Rough Work? Also, does anyone know if that was the "final" version, or did Frank develop it further? Other than the pic above, I don't believe I've ever seen it.

I wish I had this. It's one of my absolutely favorites by Frazetta. This might sound weird, but I study the marble in this frequently. One day I'll try to paint that column. I wouldn't attempt the girl, figures aren't quite my thing yet, so I struggle with them.

Frazetta died 9 years ago today. RIP. I will lift a drink to his shade right after dinner.
