I think it's safe to say this, as it's not any sort of secret: I've been invited to pitch a book proposal to the new publishers. I'm going with an Hyborian Age tale that features a minor character from "Black Colossus" . . . we'll see how they respond to it. Wish me luck! You have our support here Scott! Hopefully you get to write that tale you’ve been mulling over for years. Anybody else out there get an invite? Mr Hocking? I would love to see another from JMR as well!

Thanks, all! I'm working furiously on a somewhat detailed synopsis that I hope to have finished and submitted by week's end. Then, we wait I'll let you know how it goes!

Lancer/Ace series needs to be reprinted. Actually, I would like to see that. Pastiche only, in an omnibus edition. My pure Howard collection is pristine, but most of the Ace books I own are getting tired; I wouldn’t mind upgrading them.

I wouldn't mind reading stuff like Lair of the Ice Worm and Thing in the Crypt again. A nice hardcover of that stuff with reprints of the Frazetta & Boris covers would be sweet.

Take all the DeCamp-Carter originals from the original twelve plus all the stories in Swordsman and Liberator (sorry, Spider God, have to draw the line somewhere) and put them in one book. As for the completions and Conanizations...maybe just a Kindle edition?

I really can't see the point in reprinting the De Camp/Carter pastiche stuff - most of the Lancer/Ace/Sphere books can be purchased for less than a pound/dollar with those great Frazetta covers. Why would ya wanna pick up a De Camp/Carter Conan an omnibus without a Frazetta cover?
Or, better still pick up the ol' SSOC issues between 31 to around 60, probably the best way to read pastiche till about the 70's.

A little more info at Howard Andrew Jones' website: www.howardandrewjones.com/news/new-developments-2 ...one of my first duties will be to begin editing John Chris Hocking’s second Conan novel, Conan and the Living Plague. Any of you regular visitors know that I’ve been championing this book for years, and I am pleased and honored to be involved in seeing it finally reach the audience it deserves.

Fantastic news, and great to see Howard at the helm! I can't think of a better choice.
Congrats to John as well.
Also great news to see another publisher handling more of our favorite genres:
