I asked Steve Saffel on FB about the possibility of reprinting the old pastiches , this was his reply to that "For now we're focused on the new fiction. No telling what the future will bring." I've now asked him about the ones you mentioned , if he gets back to me I'll let you know. Well an answer and not an answer. I guess Steve's hands are tied somewhat. Terry Allen: Steve , don't know if you saw Scott's question? Are the Hocking, Oden & Stackpole books still in the pipeline? Steve Saffel: For now we're focused on the new fiction in development. No telling what the future will bring. Terry Allen: Steve , so I guess they aren't part of the plan now ? Shame for John's book , I guess he's been let down again. Steve Saffel: Terry, don't read into what I've posted, and don't put words into my mouth. There are a lot of moving parts, and we're not going to comment on everything. Things will happen in their time. So too me "_new_ fiction in development" probably doesn't , at least for the moment , include those. The non-answer answer. I could try to sort that out but I'm not a biologist.

I guess a lot will depend on sales of the first book. Some development on the Conan Netflix series would help.

So these three things, all previously unpublished, are not considered new. Three books that were previously promoted, which were talked about on this board, and which I and others had looked forward to reading are shunted aside for something no one has heard anything about?
These people are beyond incompetent.

Something definitely changed when whatever the IP Holding Company's name is this year moved away from basically self publishing via their own Perilous Worlds imprint to Titan Books acting as the publisher.
Something tells me that Titan wants to launch the line with a writer who is a bit more familiar to the general book buying public.
Hopefully we'll at least get the two Hocking novels at some point.

Hopefully we get a new edition of Hocking's 'Emerald Lotus' with "Black Starlight' and finally second volume with the 'Living Plague'.
I think it'd be great time for Titan to reprint some of the original yarns by REH. The Del Rey editions, I think can be a little difficult for the general reader.
Something like:
Hour of the Dragon in Hardback.
a Hardback volume with Beyond the Black River and the Black Stranger.
...another with 'Iron Shadows', 'Devil in Iron' and 'People of the Black Circle'.
No fragments, make it easily accessible to the new reader.

A year ago or so when the deal with Titan Books was announced we were told that a novel and 2 short stories would come out this year. We all know about the novel but what about the short story slated for this month? Do we have any news?

Stirling's Conan: Blood of the Serpent in October the earliest. There is also a solicitation at PRH comics, so it should also available in the Direct Market. I have my doubts about the October release date because it has not appeared on the Titan website yet, and there's still no description of the book or a cover. I guess a lot will depend on the success of the 1st book, but it does not look like they are interested in publications collecting short stories.

Back in June they mentioned 2 short stories that would be published in e-books only. I quote "Expanding from the core of Howard’s original work, the new fiction will stand firmly within the Conan canon, beginning with a novel and two short stories to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the character in 2022. (...) The first short story is slated for May 2022, with the first novel currently scheduled for September of the same year. The original short fiction will be available exclusively in e-format, and the novels also will feature a simultaneous e-format release." link

Yes , I posted something similar here or on the other thread when I asked about the original novels not coming out and got basically the same answer from Steve. This one is from today just about the e-books/shorts.
