I've the Uncanny X-Men Omnibuses , #3 is over a 1000 and is fine. Perhaps they've had the Kung-Fu one stored poorly.

Terry Yeah, it could have something to do with the storage, but quite a few of the sealed Omnibus editions had the same problem at FP. The binding is pretty good with the Marvel Omnibus editions. But, when they have a large page count the pages in the centre are not flush creating a bulge at the bottom, especially when stored upright on the shelf.

You might think you're a man, but have you choked out a tiger?
I need to dig those issues out and revisit Bront. I remember there was a character name Phork.
Yeah, good ol' Phork appears in SSOC 80: Yeah, issue 80 was actually the first SSOC that I read, and intro to Conan, also the short lived Bront character that appeared in issues 65, 66, 79, 80 and finally 81, a kind of planetary adventure meets sword & sorcery. I thought it worked quiet well, still do. This was were I became a fan of John Buscema's art, also Alfredo Alcala.

Great art that accompanied a fun story. I don't think Marvel will ever pick up the character ever again, but I may be wrong.

So all of the Savage Tales issues including Man Thing and Ka-Zar, but no Red Sonja, Blackmark or Kull in the SSOC issues. Rights are funny things. :-)

Rights are funny things. :-) Hopefully, the later non-Conan issues of Savage Tales will make an appearance at some time. ...... A Savage Tales 1-11 omnibus would be a good idea, especially since half the run is already restored and the Ka-Zar Masterwork series isn't likely to get another volume anytime soon.

In the Savage Tales issues, outside of Conan everything is owned by Marvel which is why everything is there. Kull, Solomon Kane and all of the other Howard characters and stories will probably require separate deals. It probably would've done Dynamite some good to work out a deal where they pitch in a little, Marvel restores and uses the Red Sonja stories for this line exclusively, then they get to use them for their own collections. But it doesn't work that way I suppose.

Yes there's been no deal between Marvel and the Howard rights owners for the other characters yet.It was mentioned at this years Howard Days. I imagine if Conan_is_a success it might open the door.

I am really looking forward to this one. The contents list Hun put up earlier gives hope for the rest of the omnibus's that everything will be included. I absolutely enjoyed the hell out of Bront as well. It will be like opening a time capsule for me as I haven't re-read these issues for about 20 years I guess. I will probably go for this Dell'Otto cover as I don't mind this one.
