Conning Conan fans into buying comics they don't really want - Spending $4 , $5 or even $6 for a _cover_!

Is it a BtBR's adaptation?

Is it a BtBR's adaptation? I've gotten the impressions they're not doing direct adaptations right now, but this will apparently be taking place around that time.

Gotta a feeling the first 12 issues will be an introduction to Conan and his adventures throughout his life and there's a possibly we get to see his last adventure. Here's Jason Aaron's description from the press release:
"The big initial arc we're doing in this new series is very much done in reverence to Robert E. Howard and those original stories," the writer said. "One of the things that initially pulled me into the character was the fact that with each story, Howard jumped to a different point in Conan's life, where he was in a different setting, interacting with different characters and living a very different life. I loved the grand and epic scope of Conan's overall journey, and so for this new series, instead of picking just one period from Conan's life and doing stories set only within that, our opening 12-issue arc will thread together many different periods and aspects of Conan's journey, from Cimmeria to Aquilonia and beyond. That's why this story is called 'The Life and Death of Conan.'"

Thanks for the info Terry. I hope that means the initial orders are pretty close to 250% more than Avengers #9, but, then again it could be the other way round I kinda expect somewhere between 100,000 to around 130,000 for the first issue.

Wow I haven’t seen Bill draw like that in decades! Yeah, hopefully, we'll get to see him work on one of the Conan books soon.
