Nice Whelan pic. Put me in mind of Nicholas Roerich, was around the 1920s I think

Lovecraft was a huge Roerich fan. Roerich painted many fantastical, and sometimes creepy, works.

Michael Whelan Lovecraft poster makes a great terrarium background. Put this Whelan Lovecraft print in my bearded dragons 120 gallon terrarium. Always loved this painting first saw it on the old Del Rey pb's back in the 80's.

That's a great terrarium. with that art there... is your lizard permanently on edge and peeping over its shoulder? is the big centre-piece a natural wood branch? or has it been sculpted? it looks like a creature. wonderful.

Thanks. Yea he looks pensive like he's in a hunter becomes the hunted scenario I set that up over a year ago doesn't seem to bother him. He's cat-like in that his demeanor is perpetually cool. That branch is a resin piece picked up at retail, he spends 99% of his time lounging on it directly below the light. He just came down this morning to munch some spinach and carrots and stalk a cricket.
