I recently read Douglas Wynne's RED EQUINOX. I can't say I loved it wildly, but I did like it and thought it was solid enough. The only complaint, really, like so many books these days - too long. Has anyone else here checked out the Legends of Cthulhu action figures from arpo Corporation. They started out as a Kickstarter and got funded and produced. I saw them for the first time at a store called Big Fun in Columbus, OH and have seen some since at toy and comic shows I have been to. I picked up the Deep One action figure...   along with some other stuff at Big Fun, and will eventually get the rest as I find them (in the 3 3/4 scale they have Cultist, Professor, Spawn of Cthulhu and the Deep One, and there is a much larger (and more expensive) Cthulhu figure that they produced. The artwork on the packaging is well done as well, though a bit cartoony.  There were apparently some Kickstarter exclusives as well, but here's a pic of the whole line including the exclusives...  The Deep One looks good on display with my plushy Cthulhu I picked up at Gen Con years ago. -M |
