Though he didn't do so well wrestling in Women in Love... I'm afraid that Ollie's buttocks just didn't have the spectacular muscle definition required to pass as Conan's. ...... One of those wonderful things thanks to Ken Russell that you can't unsee...

I dunno I think Reed's cheeks would have passed muster, male ass expectations weren't as high in those days

Too bad Amicus Productions never got a chance at Conan, their ERB movies were cheesy but so much fun to watch. They probably would have gave Doug McClure a black wig and cast him as Conan. That's David Prowse in the executioner mask. mmm..Dana Gillespie!
I always had a thing for Sarah Douglas, she was great as a villainess.
she also wasn't much shorter than Arnie.:

Sarah Douglas was top shelf, she definitely would have been Thalis in an Amicus production of The Slithering Shadow. For Thog they probably would have glued rubber tentacles all over Milton Reid and cranked up a fog machine whenever he appeared but I would have been cool with that.

"He wrestled in England under the name of The Mighty Chang."
he would make a good Amicus Baal Pteor.

Milton Reid was like vice grip pliers, always useful.

Maybe a role for Ted Cassidy - he was pretty menacing as Kid Curry when he pulled out that big knife in Butch & Sundance. ...... I would have liked to see Ted Cassidy in the role of Khosatral Khel, not only for his size but he had a voice that would fit REH's description "like a bell tolling at midnight." Here's Cassidy looking scary on Star Trek as Roc the Android (yeah there are other photos but I like this one )

That was the equation! Good pic selection! Cassidy probably would have served quite well as Conan back in the day.

I have to admit she's probably the best android I've ever seen

If pre-milius Conan was on a tight special effects budget I think Thog would have looked a bit like this
