Yeah, certainly looks like the best of the 3 Conan books. This has the look of a British comic to me. ...... Nought wrong with that.

Terrible. Some sort of manga/Elfquest hybrid with a cavegirl.

I hope all that shadow has a reason in the story, otherwise it's too dark for my liking. I want to see some definition and detail.

I guess we'll have to wait and see with the art in SSOC - don't forget there will be different creative teams for each story-arc. l'm also looking forward to the serialised Conan novellas by Scott Oden (The Shadow of Vengeance) in SSOC, and (Black Starlight) by John C. Hocking in CtB and the Belit pastiche in AoC.

Garney's good but I still keep seeing Skaar: Son of Hulk and Sakaar character designs in this art.
I'm definitely going to give the series a try, though.

Is Savage Sword going to be an ongoing series like Conan The Barbarian?

Is Savage Sword going to be an ongoing series like Conan The Barbarian? Yes, but it looks like it'll be concentrating on shorter stories like the original SSOC compared to the ongoing narrative of CTB. Then again, that may change once the first story arc is done, but it's what we've got to go on for now.
