As long as it's done under one of Disney's adult arms and not the Disney label, maaaaybe they can put something together that won't destroy the character.

After what they made with Starwars, let's hope that Disney will never cross with Conan !!! That's it

I wouldn't mind seeing Conan rendition which would be done in the same vein as 'Aquaman': an epic big budget adventure flick suitable both for kids and grown-ups. It would be something which could put Conan back on the map.

Several years ago I would have said the same thing but then 'Conan The Destroyer' Blu-Ray came out and managed to change my mind.

It looks like this article came out back in January before all the Amazon talk. Is the Amazon series still a thing? I have been looking for more info all the time and all I can find is a couple of tweets. No official word on Amazon passing on the project. What do you think about Alan Ritchson playing the part of Conan? He's not bad on "Titans". He's a big dude.

Ha! Your not the only one hun! I wouldn't mind a Conan movie from one of Disney's adult arm's, even if it did have a little humor. Maybe not has much as Pirates, but some. Like in "Rogues in the House", Conan was drunk and ran into a doorway and knocked him self out. Thats why he was jailed at the beginning. That would be funny to see for adults because we have all been there and it could be a good message for teens not to drink underage! LOL

There's nothing wrong with a bit of humour. CtB had it at times, but it was never duh-duh type.

Probably had too much of the ol' fermented mare's milk at the time So, the way you were swaying in the saddle Hun was no mere swagger. I think much of the article is still relevant. Disney may have an interest based on their recent licensing of the comic rights, and how elements of Conan lore were built into the early MCU. But I agree that a more independent and adult oriented Pirates of the Carribean style production would be superior to an MCU one, if they toned down the humour a little and upped the sauce and the grit and the horror. Like Aryeh said in our old thread Amazon likely passed on Conan shortly after Jennifer Salke's appointment. Ryan's pitch is currently with Endeavour Content, who work with financiers and other industry backers to fund the production of films and TV series. A few more wheels are still turning behind the scenes, no doubt, on other Conan TV/Film related projects in addition to Ryan's. It will happen when the stars are right. And a few of them may well be sliding into alignment as we speak.

Yeah, I think you're right. The interest is probably still there behind the scenes - I just hope it don't take toooooo long.
