Definitely great covers. As I postulated on the thread on the MMW board, chances are they'll go with a cover that doesn't blurb stories that aren't reprinted inside, so anything with Kull, Solomon Kane, Red Sonja or in the case of #16 Bran Mak Morn will likely be passed over. If they don't do it this way, I'd go with #16 in a heartbeat.

# 20 would be great too. That is my favorite Marvel/Conan adaptation of all time.

Simone Bianchi cover Description from Amazon: SAVAGE SWORD OF CONAN, the cornerstone of Marvel's black-and-white magazine line, offered up stories of fiction's most famous barbarian unencumbered by the Comics Code. With the rules of civilized publishing cast off, SAVAGE SWORD presented ferocious, untamed tales the likes of which Conan himself would approve. Writer Roy Thomas and artistic greats, including John Buscema and Neal Adams, took full advantage, and the results were a sensation. Multipart sagas like "The People of the Black Circle" luxuriate in extended tellings, while a Buscema take on "The Tower of the Elephant" explores the nuance of an all-time Robert E. Howard classic. And we're topping it off with MARVEL COMICS SUPER SPECIAL #2, a tale of vengeance lavished with fully painted coloring.COLLECTING: SAVAGE SWORD OF CONAN (1974) 13-28, MARVEL COMICS SUPER SPECIAL (1977) 2 Release Date: November 19, 2019 (2 weeks earlier in comicbook shops) Amazon Link: www.amazon.co.uk/Savage-Sword-Conan-Original-Omnibus/dp/1302915169/

We get the B&W reprints of CTB #17 & 18! Yeah, they coulda left that one out. Is there any difference in the B&W reprint in SSOC #13? I'm not keen on the way they split up The Beyond the Black River adaptation with the colour Marvel Comics Super Special #2. It shoulda been the last comic in this volume, even if it is not strictly adhering to the Chronological/publication order.

I know Cory's doing it chronologically but in this case it probably would've been better to put it at the end. Then again Marvel could've waited another two months back in 1977 and slotted it between #27 & #28 Other than not being in color, it's the same pages, no difference. I would've left them out as well, because now it brings up the incomplete question since they didn't do the B&W reprints from SSOC #1...oy...

Is that snake laughing? Maybe it's happy at the prospect of eating Conan. Not Starlin's best, I'm surprised they chose that one for the cover. ...... Me too. There were many better options.

We get the B&W reprints of CTB #17 & 18! I hate those stories. Not a good fit for Savage Sword.

I would've gone with that one too, since it doesn't seem like being promoted on the cover but not appearing in the omni was a disqualifying feature.

I always like the Val Mayerik cover for SSOC 22: Sorry, not the greatest scan on the internet.
