Hun, did you make it across the pond for Howard Days, then? That's going to be on my radar one day. It's so dang far, I'll have to fly. Then drive. Then walk. Then crawl. But I'll perk up when I hit Cross Plains!

That's fantastic that your wife goes with you, whether she shares your REH passion or not. Me and my wife have been attending the Dum-Dum and ECOF Burroughs events for the last 3 years. She's not crazy about old pulp magazines or 60s era New English Library's or yakking with Burroughs nuts as I am, so we split our time and enjoy ourselves. Met many great folk at these conventions. |

The 90th birthday of Sailor Steve Costigan
Description:
Howard Scholars Jeff Shanks, Patrice Louinet and Chris Gruber talk about Howard's Boxing stories and his main boxing character, Steve Costigan. Had some card issues the first minute so it starts about a minute into the panel. But basically all you miss are the introductions.

She has met several 'Janes' at the ERB conventions; I'm sure there are 'Red Sonjas' at the REH convention. In the Burroughs world, 'Janes' stands for Just Another Neglected Erb Spouse! But I don't neglect mine. I took her on many fun outings in Chicago. She stayed busy! Just between us, Terry, my favorite outing was to the German submarine  Hope to make it to Cross Plains some day. |

No Red Sonja's , no cosplay! I did post a pic. of a Sonja from one of the London Cons I went to on my Facebook page with a comment like "Now you know why old guys go to comic cons" That didn't go down well LOL. Hope you do get across it's a great feeling going through the house. The ladies from Project Pride have done a great job looking after it , and it's an experience just walking round the town.The good thing for her this year is they allow booze in the town , it used to be a dry county , so she can drown things out with that if it gets too much for her!
