Annotation:
The novel is about Conan’s girlfriend - the pirate Belit: from birth and through life - until his death. Instead of a prologue to the novel, a story by R. Howard, “Queen of the Black Coast”.

The novel tells the story of Bölit’s life - starting from her birth in Asgalun’s royal palace, she describes her childhood and youth with foster parents in Kush, marriage, the birth of a son, the loss of all relatives during a pirate attack by the Stygians ... And she turned out to be a pirate, so that it turned out that take revenge on the Stygians (in particular) ... Well, then the plot smoothly merges with the story of the Queen of the Black Coast, adding some bookmarking innovations that allow developing this plot in the future ...
In general, the novel is readable, although not the most interesting. Once it’s quite possible to read it and, of course, this is not “the worst nightmare” (c) Vlad lev ... By the way, for the sake of interest, I read the first of the stories recommended by him to replace “Bay of Golden Delight”: the first impression is complete bullshit .. And it’s not immediately clear - either because the author wrote nonsense, or because the translation is very clumsy, and even semi-finished - there are a quarter of the words in brackets with synonyms ...

The author completely devotes this novel to Belit - she is the main character here. And the reader will be interested in it because the secret of Belit’s death is revealed here. What exactly preceded that when Conan returned from the jungle, he was found hanging from the ship? I agree that the novel is not perfect, but in general it is an integral part of Howard's story “The Queen of the Black Coast”.

The most terrible reading. It would be better if they did not touch the theme of the Queen of the Black Coast and did not discredit the Saga with their attempts.
(Or they made attempts to "cling" to the fame of R.I. Howard carefully and carefully).
Mentioned earlier in other reviews:
there are multilingual works that well and interestingly describe the adventures of Conan and Belit “inside” the events of the Queen ...:
1) collections of short stories published by the Czech Republic by Vaclav Wagenknecht “Conan and the Bloody Blades” (the story “Bay of Golden Delight” *) and “Conan and the Dance of Belit's Death” *;
2) fan fiction:
a) English-speaking Set the crimson sails: New Conan and Belit adventure
(Buxom Sorceress) - in Russian - “Conan and Belit: adventures under red sails” *;
b) Portuguese (Brazil) - “Betrayal in Asgaluna” * and “A Terra das Caveiras” - “Land of Skulls”
Here is a small fragment of the author's preface (translation from English):
“The unrivaled RI Howard and his excellent Queen of the Black Coast inspired this story about Conan.
According to my "version" of the legend, Amra and Belit have already plundered and sank several large Stygian ships, capturing some very valuable cargo and treasures. Because of this, some influential - wealthy nobles - "Stygian Princes" united and hired, despite fears, a very powerful mysterious sorcerer-priest to get rid of these deadly pirates.
As a result, the bait and the "trap" were planned and organized.
But none of the small (and destined for the victim) Stygian crew was dedicated to the intentions of the sinister dark priest ... "
