I thought this was neat. First-ever image of a black hole. Sounds crazy, but they swear it is really a picture of a black hole. Makes me wonder . . . is the USS Cygnus hovering just outside that event horizon? eventhorizontelescope.org/
I loved Maximillian after seeing this. I guess I was ten at the time. S.T.A.R. was cool, too!

Yeah, real interesting stuff. www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-47873592DR JEAN LORRE/SCIENCE PHOTO LIBRARY Astronomers have suspected that the M87 galaxy has a supermassive black hole at its heart from false colour images such as this one. The dark centre is not a black hole but indicates that stars are densely packed and fast moving.

The Black Hole movie from 79 brings back some memories, still have the 3d viewer with the black Hole reels parents got me when I was a kid.
I can never forgot the ending when Captain Holland and his small crew aboard the probe try to escape the gravitational pull of the Black Hole that took Reinhardt and the Cygnus.
I so much didn't want them to escape, wanted to see where they would end up once the black hole took them.
The movie did not disappoint.

I wish I had all those toys they came out with. They're outta sight now! Black Hold had some cool characters, for sure.

That scene, where he kills Durant ( Anthony Perkins ) brutal, always had this disturbing image in my mind of internal organs subjected to a blender. Fun fact, the actor who played Reinhardt was Maximillian Schell ( but with two L's ).

They're worth a small mint now in excellent condition with the bubble pack cards. Ignore the Buck Rogers, grabbed him by accident!

I should have invested in a large box of packaged Black Hole action figures.
