I would have thought there would have been a clause in whatever agreement Cabinet had with Amazon for the series to go ahead within a specific time and that as it was Amazon who reneged on the deal they'd have given up any rights they had.Just my opinion. As for asking Fredrik , as I've said before it's always along the lines of "Keep waiting , it's happening". BTW Hun if you haven't seen it the Chop Chop game has been delayed again. Terry Yeah, the sad thing is they show absolutely no embarrassment at their complete failure to get things done.

Terry Terry, if Amazon had a 2 year Option on the television development rights to Conan and had cancelled the series after 15 months of work, CPI doesn't hand out refunds. Amazon paid the money. They were very keen to go ahead with it, to the point that Ryan Condal was comfortable enough to announce it. And THEN, as happens so often in the industry, a change of management and various projects get turfed out. We can but hope that Malmberg is shopping Conan around as a viable tv property, and that an Arnold-based Conan project is no longer under any consideration.

when you got the money that Gibson has, you can say whatever you want...money=freedom The phrase "You can't buy respect" comes to mind with Mel Gibson; due to his public behaviour across a number of years, even George Miller found he was unhireable for Fury Road. The mega millions Gibson made with The Passion made him a supremely rich man, but that means nothing if your peers don't respect you. Having said that, Gibson could get away with a full blood and thunder Conan film that would be critic-proof.

when you got the money that Gibson has, you can say whatever you want...money=freedom LOL have you been living in a cave for the past five years? That's no longer the case, especially in the entertainment industry. Social media posts from decades past are coming back to haunt people. Studios and networks have hired Private Investigators to go back and scrub posts. No, I'd wager Mel will be cooling his heels for a bit.

So over on Fredrik's twitter page he said they are in pre-production on a feature length animated movie of one of their video game IP's.

Here's the thing that totally get's me riled up, gentlemen; even though the Red Nails animated movie was never completed, somewhere, out there, exists the FULL voice cast recording for the film itself! Without touching the fragments of animation that was created, the voice recording could be used in any manner of ways, from a Warner-style direct-to-video animated movie, to an audio dramatisation of the novella. The cast recording must be the property of CPI, i can't imagine after all of these years that Steve Gold has any rights to it, so why Malmberg hasn't pitched using it for some kind of media is beyond me...

Maybe he did use it as a pitch and that's what is coming. I know I'm probably just dreaming here and I know that there are not a lot of fans of Malmberg here. I'm not a big fan either, but I don't think this animation project he's talking about could be one of his "Mutant" games. However, I don't know anything about his other properties. Just how popular are the Mutant games? Do any of you see him spending that kind of money making animation based on his other games? Thanks.

So...there's a market for this but not a Conan film...riiiiight... Thank Crom. The animation in that trailer is terrible. They can't even get the lip synch right on the female character. Even the simple stuff for action sequences look really bad, they need to go back to the storyboard with the action scenes in the trailer. Tengri knows what the rest of this is gonna be like. Here's the trailer: Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden - Official Sizzle ReelThey'll need to do a lot better for Conan.
