In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Monterey Pop festival, I went and watched/listened to Otis Redding and Jimi's sets. May try to do the Who's set as well since someone was nice enough to put it on YouTube.

- Scotland - Rome's Final Frontier = great documentary. i had no idea that the romans had invaded so far up into scotland [caledonia] to inchtuthil. Fascinating doc with great cgi reconstructions of huge forts, etc. [ i knew a bit about antonine wall, and a lot about hadrians magnificent wall. My then new boyfriend was a history buff from Keble college Oxford. he took me to hadrians wall area for a week holiday. I loved the spectacular scenery /ruins + he taught me a lot. i would dance and sing with the locals in the pub - evenings, but he would not join in the fun. and so i briefly paraded nude along the highest part of the wall, where 2 delighted german guys took photos. he just walked away shocked and embarassed, and would not speak to me for 3 hours. [ it was bloody cold up there, but exhilerating ] he wanted to control my fun spirit and needed me to be quiet and prim beyond the bedroom. so we split up soon after.] == [[[ i was not quite sure where to post this doc ]]]

Brilliant blues-rock song.
Wonderful blend of dirty guitar and sparkling harmonica.
[ see live clips to see her very sexy legs + girations ]

Right now I'm listening to the soundtrack from the new WONDER WOMAN movie. I'm a sucker for a good movie score; it just makes the whole experience that much better and I can enjoy it again later when the movie is done. Other top soundtracks that I have handy include Star Wars, anything Star Trek, 1980's Conan, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Rest in Peace, Tom. He will definitely be missed. I always loved this one (of several) he did with Stevie Nicks called 'Insider':

I came across this while I've worked on this Conan short story, finding it helped to put on some 'mood music' as I chronicle the steps of a certain wild hillman of Cimmeria. Egads what a power piece of music.
