I first came across the music of Rammstein the last time I was in central Europe, an industrial metal band. There is a hint of dark humour. Sonne features a video with a bizarre take on the Snow White story where the dwarfs revere Snow White as almost a Goddess, and in return she treats them like her minions forced to slave in mines form her.

Some dark synth by Kavinsky.
The video makes it cool wearing varsity jackets and sunglasses at night, even if you can't see where you are going.

Listening to Judas Priest's latest. It's very good. I also saw the live show and the band's performance was excellent.

I heard the song, everyone has at some point I think, but speaking for myself, I never knew that it was by Nancy Sinatra, Frank Sinatra's daughter. Only found out recently.

Only found out recently. yes, great powerful and very sexy song. me and my wilder female friends used to sing it loud in pubs in our drinking party days of yore. 5 of us wearing boots, stomping up on the big table, and when we went topless near the end verse we always got a roaring ovation from the rowdy crowd of students. [ ah... happy crazy days ] ---

Rob halford never ceases to amaze me: still singing so well and writing plenty of great strong songs. Firepower is one of the best albums they have ever made. [ been much enjoying it over these last 2 weeks ] [ Faulkner is a brilliant young guitarist ] Amazing band. The Legend rolls on. Rock on!

You keep on stomping with them boots Buxie.

I saw this years ago. Windowlicker is humour, disturbing , surrealism and higher art all in one, my favourite Aphex Twin work.

I always loved reactions from the two guys at about the 7:49 mark. This and 'Come To Daddy' are great videos.

I always loved reactions from the two guys at about the 7:49 mark. This and 'Come To Daddy' are great videos. Those two guys are a riot, work well as a comedy act, and someone from some network should have placed them in their own tv show, a kind of offbeat quirky surreal situation comedy. I can kind of see it working. That constantly grinning, disturbing face has become synonymous with Aphex Twin, an exaggeration of Richard David James (aka Aphex Twin ) face. Remember seeing ‘Come To Daddy’ on a late night show, music video is a kind of short horror tale. Loved it.

Agreed that those two guys would have worked well as a comedy team. Those videos still hold up too - Just as unnerving now as they were back then!
