Out today for those who can get to the store! The girlfriend starts school again tonight, so I'm doing 2nd grade homework on Wed & Thu nights until mid May. I might be able to get this in mid Feb when school is off.

Picked it up today and read through it. Great read! There's lots of backstory regarding what happened during the past 7 months, since this is the 'Letter to Nemedia' chapter. I even liked some of the art.

Liked it too. Liked the explanation how Conan got his letter. I'm guessing next issue is Conan overthrowing Olgerd and Salome in the dungeon to Valeus getting the head

Arcadian mentioned in the other thread that the pacing on this issue is a little off, especially following the crucifixion issue last time. I agree to a point, but it's unfortunately caught up in the overall situation the title finds itself in. The issue is actually very good at explaining what has been happening elsewhere in the story, bringing everyone up to speed. But it does mean that Conan is offstage for almost the whole issue. It follows the story very closely, possibly too much so. However I can't really fault Fred for what he's doing. He's trying to get the story back into the continuity that was broken back you-know-when. He's doing the adaptations along the lines of how Roy & Kurt were doing them. It's not an issue for someone to jump on, but we used to have these "break" issues and it wouldn't be too disruptive. Now it is.
The cover is more than a little misleading. We'll have two covers in a row dealing with the same incident, only it doesn't happen this issue!

My only issue is that van lente moved the oasis of akrel past the land of kush; even not taking Howard into it makes no sense for janissa to use it as a base if her targets are Turan and Shem unless it's east of Khauran (both are in striking distance). I would have had Conan and Natalie replenish at the oasis sneak across Shem and Stygia offscreen (or have Diana and Abit secure passage across for them) THEN have the blood oasis arc play out. Janissa really was more likable there
