Looks to be in the same mold as Order of the Stick.

Looks to be in the same mold as Order of the Stick. Yeah, their both in the same vein, and both became popular in Dragon Magazine. Now there's a publication I miss.

Looks like they are reprinting The Vault of Horror EC line starting in July. I have almost all the Eerie hardcovers, which I thought were really well done and fun to read. I don't know much about Vault of Horror though. Anybody have any opinions?
On a side note, July is going to chase down and back-alley rape my wallet.
I'm set to preorder...
Fantastic Four omnibus (Kirby/Lee) #2 Fantastic Four omnibus #3 Savage Sword of Conan omnibus #5 A couple more TMNT IDW HCs ..and possibly Vault of Horror.
At least I have nothing with the cross-hairs on for August.

Well, the last few books I was planning on grabbing on release day from In Stock Trades have all been pushed back - Superman Man of Steel Vol 4 and Absolute Swamp Thing Vol 3. I wonder if that's due to the shipping problems going on.

In my experience, "In Stock" Trades is a misnomer. It's more like "Give Us Money Now and We'll Try to Find the Book from a Distributer and Maybe Send It to You Eventually While Ignoring All Your Emails" Trades.

I've been reading old EC comics and Prince Valiant strips. So much good artwork to enjoy!

It's more like "Give Us Money Now and We'll Try to Find the Book from a Distributer and Maybe Send It to You Eventually While Ignoring All Your Emails" Trades. For sure. I have ordered from IST and Tales of Wonder and Cheap Graphic Novels and each have their pros and cons. I know IST and Tales of Wonder are partners or whatever, but IST does not allow you to preorder. Tales of Wonder does (did??) but now it seems like they took down their "Coming Soon" section in which you could add stuff to wish list. CGN is okay, but they only allow one preorder per order and charge shipping no matter how large or small the order. Conan The Barabarian The Original Marvel Years Vol 6, was listed on IST 11/16/2021...but not it just says "not available." I mean, I don't know how hot these books are these days, but in the past (especially with the more popular titles and Conan) you had to be on the mouse the day of release to nab one...but now, even if you wanted to run that play, it's harder because the release dates keep changing. Dark times, guys.

Filling out my comics library and realized that though I enjoy the cosmic stuff, I have very little outside the Infiniti Gauntlet and Silver Surfer omnibuses (omnibi?).
I have read a lot of good about Annihilation. Any gurus round here have any thoughts on this story? I know very little.

From what I remember Annihilation pretty much gave birth to the modern iteration of the Guardians of the Galaxy. So it's notable in that regard.

Don't know anything about Annihilation but Starlin's Warlock run is a must have.

Don't know anything about Annihilation but Starlin's Warlock run is a must have. That's a given, though you may have a tough time finding the final part of the story in Avengers Annual #7 and Marvel Two In One Annual #2, they've only been reprinted...oh, in 16 or 17 different books! Seriously either a Jim Starlin Warlock collection or the Warlock Masterwork Volume 2 will net you that. But once you get into that, you'll need to go to Captain Marvel (the blond guy, not the chick who won't smile). Captain Marvel Masterwork Volume 3 or Life of Captain Marvel followed by any Death of Captain Marvel collection will do.

I picked up the 1st issue of Punisher by Jason Aaron, Jesus Saiz with colours by Dave Stewart. This issue is pretty good, surprisingly, considering Jason Aaron's recent stuff - a lot better than I was expecting anyways. It all depends on the next few issues, I still don't trust Aaron. The art by Jesus Saiz looks good, very good, but the linework looks a little too smooth sometimes for my liking. I miss the days of traditional inkers that could add a little more texture to the pencil work when needed. The colours by Dave Stewart add that extra texture sometimes in the comic - as always Stewart does a great job. Great start to this 12 issue series. In the image below you can kinda see what I disliked about the linework. The boxes are too neatly stacked on the shelves and the lines are dead straight. Overall a very good 1st issue!
