Help me find a comic/character? - solved "Black Terror'

I thought I saw this comic/character mentioned on one of the threads on these boards, but I can't find it?

Modern times hero/anti-hero, the character sorta has a knight/pirate design, I think he has a pirate flag or crossbones on his chest (like Marvels Crossbones character), and I think a black costume, red cape, mask or helmet and a sword?

I think the comic was on one of the smaller, independent publishers, or maybe an imprint label of DC or Marvel? 

And maybe an older classic character that has gotten some updates over the years?
