I prefer the evil Queen. I know I'm shallow, but what the hell anyway. So do I, of course.
Last time too.
Modern Snow Whites are designed so that every/average girl can identify with them. Although most girls would rather look like evil queen.

My theory is that some of these mega-companies that appear to be making delusional strategic decisions full-well knowing they will suffer some profit loss are playing more of a long game than they getting credit for. Say what you want about their collective stupidity but they have moved the Overton Window through this. They are succeeding in changing the culture and what is considered acceptable and normal. Twenty years ago if you would have told me what the debates would be today on race and especially gender and what is acceptable in very young children's curriculums, I would have never believed it.
Then, when you look deeper into who exactly is behind this is so many ways- how leftist politicians, media, communication and the judiciary system have congealed forming one, big monstrosity and notice the correlation, it all makes sense.
This isn't going anywhere. What appears like failure by Disney is nothing more than another wave- another barrage of propaganda that will settle in and those of us who protest and mock it will continue to be labeled racists, bigots, phobes, etc. And the worst thing is, the one thing that could possibly change this trajectory is a maverick president- and that's never going to be allowed to happen.

Didn't agree with John Wayne on everything, but he got it right about radical liberals, the threat that they were getting into positions where they could control who would do the writing in Hollywood. The only difference now is that it has been allowed to happen from the top down, indoctrination and radicalisation at the expense of everything else.

I have been going back to the classics, trying to watch films that I missed years ago, fascinated by the Golden Age era of movies, so in the last few weeks checked out some of the early gangster movies like The Public Enemy from 1931 and Scarface made in 1932. I have yet to see Little Ceaser made around the same time. In all honesty I prefer the original Scarface to the 1980's remake with Al Pacino. The 30's film was loosely based on the life of Al Capone.

I didn’t see these two until the 80s. Still need to see Little Caesar, have thought about getting it for the extra cartoon Lady Play Your Mandolin (first Looney Tunes)

Loads of sound and fury in that Rebel Moon teaser trailer. Hopefully signifying something. If nothing else, that Snyder is having more fun doing his own stuff rather than toiling in the vineyards of the now-imploding superhero movie business.

Anybody have any recommendations for pacific/naval WW2 movies? Looking for stuff on the more serious side from Mr. Roberts (which was good).

Centurion was a good film, a strong 7, and Olga was outstanding as a Brigantian warrior, but unfortunately the trailer for Boudica doesn't hint at anything like that.
