Who should have done Queen of the Black Coast

We all agree that Brian Wood's run was a disaster. While there were a few moments of greatness here and there (I actually rather liked Conan's relationship with the crew, and the straight adaptations of the actual chapters were decent enough) by and large it was a piece of shit. Van Lente by his own admission is a pretty recent convert (he did some reading of the stories in late 2013 and fell in love with the character)
Two things. The artist stays throughout the entire run; even leaving aside wood's writing the constant changing of artists did NOT help in the slightest. Sometimes the art was actually good (Becky Cloonan, whoever the fuck did the last arc, Mirko Colac) sometimes it sucked total donkey nuts (the last two issues of border fury, whoever did that abysmal arc where they're in ophir). Also, I'm debating whether Truman and Giorello should have done it. On one hand their adaptations of Conan the King were quite good, on the other hand the teams after them weren't the best. Van Lente did a good job writing but his artist was abysmal.
So. Nominees?
