Marvel/Disney is now heavily into the business of developing properties. They may not be the owners of Conan et al, but if they end up using the characters in another media (would Jen take a Dark Agnes series over at Amazon? Not that they'll offer it with Hulu as the natural outlet, but would be an interesting thought experiment), it'll be an incentive to keep the relationship going. Conan Properties isn't a position Sony is (whether or not you think it was the right move for their Spider-verse), so if Marvel is able to get done what they've had a very hard time doing, it wouldn't make sense for them to rock the boat. We'll have to see...

The best part of that tube was the comments section. To date, my favourite movie based ( or loosely based ) on REH's creations was the 2009 Solomon Kane. James Purefoy was great in the role. Wished they would just make another Solomon Kane.

Not a bad idea at all. For a buck you can't go wrong.

Wonder if they'll reference the old SSOC story where Conan and Kane met?

As someone who has a great affinity for snakes, it is always cool seeing some big bad ones in Conan stories.

Whatever. Works for Thor and Captain America and Spidey. For Conan, not so much. I understand these team ups sell. It's something new and fresh. I get it. But, I won't be buying it.

At least this one has mainly REH heroes and Zub's recent Conan stories are pretty good so I'll check out the first issue on this one. He appears to have a good handle on the characters.

The idea of Conan being forced to work with other warriors across time and space is not an inherently bad one. Kull did it in Kong’s of the Night and the Dark Horse tun implies Conan was going to return in the princes time to fight the serpent should it return.

I'm in. The more I hear about this the more I'm thinking this could be fun in a Savage Avengers way. It's only 4 issues, too, and not a new ongoing, so that's a plus.

With Zim Zubb at the helm of this crossover, I'd say its safe to have slightly higher expectations than with Savage Avengers. Still wise to keep them tempered tho.
