Just read issue 25. It is good, but the trend of playing with timelines and alternate renditions of the same character coming back from the the dead sucks. One of the reasons I don't like reading Flash comics. It's always the same generic timeline/ alternate reality shenanigans. It's been done wayyyy too many times in comics. Overlook that and issue 25 was still pretty good.

Say what you want about Savage Avengers, but one thing's for certain—Duggan and Zircher couldn't give two craps about whether or not you want a happy ending. This team makes the best story at hand with each issue, regardless of how it will leave audiences. Half the time I find myself on the verge of tears or balled up in the fetus position because of where this creative team often leaves issue, and Savage Avengers #25 is no different. Life isn't always fair, and that's the creed this team lives by to the T. If you're hoping to go into Savage Avengers feeling good about yourself, I hate to burst your bubble—but this book will leave you feeling dirty. And I mean that in the best way possible. -- Adam Barnhardt

Best thing about time travel, you can always get a spare. I'm one of those people who prefers it when a dead character stays dead but I guess that's a little too much to ask when it comes to superhero comics so I'll just overlook the fact that we all know no one is gonna stay dead for long in Savage Avengers.

When I started reading Marvel in the late 70s, it was "The only people who stay dead are Bucky and Uncle Ben". That's obviously changed.

Hot damn—Christopher Priest returns! I picked up issue #30 late and had no idea there is a story written by him in this one. He's not exactly my favorite Conan writer, but regardless it was a nice surprise. And I ended up enjoying his tale the most of the three in this issue. It took Conan in a direction not quite yet explored previously. So it has some novelty, which is nice since so much has been before with Conan. I also liked the art of the this story. Shame on Marvel though for not giving this issue a few more pages so the writers had more to work with.

Well, it was good while it lasted. IIRC it was initially planned to be a 6-12 issue mini-series. I'm glad it lasted as long as it did. 28 issues technically makes it the longest running Conan title since the 2003 DH original Conan series.

Someone better send this to Fred:
All good things must come to an end. This volume of SAVAGE AVENGERS concludes after an epic 28-chapter run, and it ends as it began: with a good old-fashioned stabbing. CROM WITNESSES YOU, SAVAGE AVENGERS READERS. Thank you for the adventure.

It's that feeling when they discontinue your favourite fast food, that's how I feel about Savage Avengers getting cancelled.
