Direct market cover all the way. That variant...jeez. Conan looking like Xena from the neck up. What's with the earrings, bangs and puffy lips?

wow. since they started releasing SSoC and The Original Marvel years, this is the first time I have to contemplate which cover I like better. Leaning slightly toward the Norem cover. I'll be back with an answer, once I am done on the Tree of Woe.

I prefer the solid simplicity of the Norem original, with its strong figure-work on Conan and cool background touches-- like the glow on the sorceror's face.
The new cover is well rendered but, I dunno. It's kinda 'Conan of the Square-Head guides John Rhys-Davies (on the front-right) into battle'.

That Earl Norem cover is fantastic. Simultaneously captures the S+S vibe, the spirit of the old pulp covers and classic Savage Sword all in one fell swoop.

I was just referring to having a decent regular cover and something that doesn't looks like a romance novel cover or worse. Norem's is certainly much better and is one of my favorite cover artists, right up there with Jusko and Vallejo.

Except for the first, the other 3 volumes with modern covers all suck. Going for Norem again.

*spits buzzard feathers out*
Yeah, you guys are right. Gotta go with Norem. The Granov cover has a broodingly cool color scheme, but yeah Norem. By the way, doesn't it almost always add something when they have the art actually overlap the title? I love that.

Yeah...it has gotten to the point where you have to have your finger on the mouse button the day they post some of these omnis for sale. I missed out on Sensational She Hulk and The Silver Surfer omnis because they sold out within hours. It wasn't like that a few months ago.
Looks like I have to go with the puffy lips cover.

Yeah, waiting for things to actually go on sale isn't good enough anymore. It's gotten progressively worse over the years and now the current situation has driven it over the cliff. To paraphrase what they say over on the other board, "PRE-ORDER EVERYTHING, NO REGRETS!"
