KING CONAN Is ComingAs teased at the end of the year-long "Life and Death of Conan" arc in the recently-released CONAN THE BARBARIAN #12, my sojourn with the Cimmerian isn't done just yet. Later in 2020, I'll be reuniting with the art team of Mahmud Asrar and Matt Wilson for KING CONAN.
This teaser image by Mahmud and Matt gives you a few hints about what to expect. Other than that, I'll just say that with the "Life and Death of Conan" I tried to craft an epic, years-spanning saga that paid tribute to everything I loved most about Robert E. Howard's original stories. And with this new series, I'll again be looking to cover a few different eras of Conan's long, sordid life, including one period that's never fully been explored.
Howard's Conan stories were one of the first great loves of my creative life. And I was thrilled at the chance to finally get to craft some Conan tales of my own. I'm incredibly proud of how "Life and Death" turned out. But twelve issues aren't enough to sate my hunger for Hyborian adventure.
I'll see you later this year, oh great King of Aquilonia.Source: www.jasonaaron.info/post/king-conan-is-coming

I thought that DH's King Conan was absolutely exceptional. I hope Marvel treat the Dark Horse sequence as absolute canon, as i'd love to see an ocean-going adventure with King Conan leaving Hyboria for parts unknown!

I hope they kill Conn. Conan isn't a legacy character.

Nice, except for the return of Muppet Mouth, what happened to his lips? Or is he wearing a cloth mask, you know that's the style these days.

Nice, except for the return of Muppet Mouth, what happened to his lips? Well, you know that expression guys get sometimes when we're staring at a woman's backside...

Muppet mouth. Couldn't have said it better myself. Aside from Conan's facial structure sometimes (A minor quibble), I don't have much of a problem with Asrar's work. Obviously not the best but nowhere near bad.

I hope they kill Conn. Conan isn't a legacy character. Man, Conn is one of the few reasons I never got down to reading the original Marvel King Conan. I own all 55 issues and haven't fully/attentively read a single one as yet. I'm hoping to get down to it soon though. I guess Conn's character just doesn't appeal to some of us because there's really no definitive reason, I just don't like him.

Conan doesn't need a Korak or Carthoris The sons of pulp heroes are always in the shadows of their fathers. There's really no point.

I always thought some stories about some of Conan's illegitimate children would be fun.

I hope they kill Conn. Conan isn't a legacy character. Harsh! But I have to agree, never liked Conn and hoped he would fade into the mists of time.

I always thought some stories about some of Conan's illegitimate children would be fun. Conan's illegitimate son, the bear priest Conobar. Luckily Conan killed him the same issue he made his first appearance. I think Conan was momentarily sad about it though so there's that.
