Yeah! That art is quite acceptable.

I wish we'd had this type of Conan art for the last 4+ years in the monthlies. Likewise, I really like that artwork. Hopefully the story's just as good.

Note that it is possible to make Conan look young without making him look like a skinny twerp.

Finally picked this one up several months later. Why do I have a feeling this may have been intended for Savage Sword #11? Aaron Lopresti does a good job on both fronts, writing and art. It's sort of a riff on Frost Giant's Daughter but not bad for what it was. Back in the pre-Road of Kings days, I would have liked to have seen him do a mini. These days I'm really only interested in the Howard adaptations (hence why it took so long for me to go get it). I think he'd be good for Pool of the Black One. But if either Cullen and Sergio need a fill in, I'd let Aaron take a crack at it.

Ugh.
Finally read this.
It's "cute."
Conan stories should not be cute.
The art is good.
But - once again - the writers have substituted the Forgotten Realms or Greyhawk or World of Warcraft for the Hyborean Age. It's all interchangeable, right?

I cannot find a copy of this to buy anywhere. Based on this thread, it might not be worth it even if I could. Can anyone advise?
