Red Nails was looking troubled about this time ten years ago. By 2007, it was obvious that it would never be made. Mark Schultz and Michael W. Kaluta both worked on the film as concept artists. Kaluta, for one, said he would never work with those people again (the company is bankrupt/"suspended").
All that said, some excellent art was done for RN. I plan on presenting some here. Maybe we can look at where the movie was heading and discuss what was going right or wrong on the creative (as opposed to financial) end.
Good stuff so far. At least the dragon isn't a stegosaurus. XD
Exactly. As Rusty Burke and I have both pointed out for forever, the description by REH (read closely) is not a stegosaur. Olmec said that they were from "bones"? How often do you find a complete skeleton of any dinosaur, let alone several (as the story indicated)? Kane on the old forum, long ago, suggested that the "dragons" were "frankendinos". Schultz's depiction shows a great version of just that. Mark is one of the best guys out there when it comes to dinos.
