store.conan.com/I really do not like constantly beating the drum of negativity, but I have to say I am very unimpressed. And my wallet is thanking me. Nearly everything looks like cheaply made 'Made in China' items. A 'Fashion Case' phone case for the $38 — really? Severely over-priced T-shirts that look poorly made. My wallet is also thanking me as a majority of the items are modern Marvel and Ahnold's Conan. While there are moments were it is alright, Marvel's new Conan just does not capture the same spirit as the original. And the T-shirt of the cover of Conan the Barbarian #1 is just ugly. Even as a major Conan completest, these items fail to capture my interest. I was worried I may be spending a lot of money. ::whew:: I was really liking the Savage Sword mug, but there is a part of his left shoulder missing and that really bothers me. On top of that the one photographed appears to have damage that makes me question if there was an issue in production?

Do you think this has anything to do with Fredrik Malmberg's recent tweet? Is this what he's celebrating?

I sure hope it is something else. There is nothing much to celebrate about the merch web store. That is not the way I would want to celebrate Howard’s creation on an official web site. I guess it could have been OK, but what I see I don’t like.

It is a disappointing range , there's a couple of T's I like the look of but will be interested in what the quality is like though they're not available over here yet anyway. The rest of the stuff is very run of the mill and the sort of stuff available anywhere I imagine. However if it puts money in Cabinet's wallet to actually fund something worthwhile like books or a TV series I hope they sell some.

The only thing that caught my eye was the Thulsa Doom bottle opener, b/c it also looks like a movie prop... type of thing that gets discovered on the floor after a brawl as a clue for the hero to investigate next... but still, $17 for a bottle opener is kind of steep.
My regret is no Wandering Star editions! I guess he has some, but they're not up there yet.
I'd hope it'd start to feature books: comic and prose, both REH and pastiche.
RE: that tweet... I'm telling myself he's proud/relieved at getting webstore set up; it's kind of a big technological lift and now he can easily push products to it. Sort of a "Conan infrastructure week" if you will lol.
Mick.

Some of the items look nice, but not at the prices that Malmberg is asking for! Almost £28 for the Arena t shirt? £15 for the Savage coffee mug? And more than £28 for the mobile phone cases? I'm rather glad the shop isn't shipping to the UK! I'll track the webstore and wait until Malmberg is tripping over the damn things because they aren't selling, and drops his prices.

Damn, nearly $40.00 for a fucking t-shirt? I'm a huge Zaffino fan, but that's way too expensive, even for his Undefeated t-shirt.
These guys are pricing themselves out of the market, this is nuts.

Jason, Mr Malmberg would claim that the merchandise on the site is exclusive to that particular webstore, and unavailable anywhere else. Still way too pricey for me, i'm not dropping the best part of £30 on a t shirt (i could have it shipped out to relatives in the US.)

I think Malmberg wants to be like Joe Maganiello's Death Saves death-saves.com and sell overpriced t-shirts. Death Saves t-shirts are better though.

Yikes. Reading the posts here is enough to convince me to avoid that site.

Wow, that's quite an unimpressive store. The BWS shirt was ok, but almost $40? I sell my own tees so I know what production costs are, that's a huge mark up

Not sure how many he would need to have manufactured to get a moderate discount, but that may explain the £30 price tag!

Long gone are the days of having ten boxes of tees in the garage lol

Long gone are the days of having ten boxes of tees in the garage lol Some nice designs, but not touching them with a barge pole until they seriously drop in price. I've never paid any more than £18 for a t shirt, whether it be my favourite metal bands or merchandise for Gas Monkey Garage...

I kind of like the Coming Of Conan shirt. They should have more shirts with classic Conan art on them for sale.
