I like the movie but it could have been a lot better. It would be great to see a making of video. where there deleted scenes shot we don't know about?

 There are three deleted scenes i know about. Two of the Scenes shown in trailer. Sonja, left to perish in her parents burning home, is saved by her dying brother. Gedren, prior to her disfigurement, addresses her soldiers and slaves.  still of deleted scene not in trailer |

One of the things that struck me when I first watched Red Sonja all those years ago was seeing Sandahl Bergman in the role of Queen Gedren. I read somewhere that she was offered the title role of Red Sonja, but turned it down to play Gedren instead.  |

I enjoyed the old Red Sonja flick...better than its reputation...overall a solid production

It bothers me that Arnold was in this movie, but not as Conan. Yeah, film never got rights to the name so Arnie played a ' CTB movie Conan clone' instead, although some fans out there say that Kalidor is one of Conan's 'travelling names'. |

I bought Red Sonja in HD on Amazon Prime Video for $5.99. Definitely worth it. It still holds well as one of the better Sword and Sorcery movies ever made. I can't believe this was so cheap to buy and Conan the Destroyer costs twice as much. The HD transfer looks pretty good, better than my DVD.

I never saw the Red Sonja movie, but it's online now so I'll watch it. I also never knew that George MacDonald Fraser had a hand in the scripting. Now I'll definitely watch it.
