On yesterday's The Midnight's Edge in the Morning streaming cast, they broke the news that Cabinet is in talks to develop a series of 90 minute Solomon Kane movies, possibly as part of the Netflix deal. Great news if it doesn't fall through!

That would be good news. Back in 2018 at Howard Days they said they were hoping to do something , and IIRC , that they'd spoken to Bassett. Let's hope Cabinet can confirm about this , and perhaps Conan , this year.

That would be good, and Kane is perfect for a TV adaptation. Purefoy was great in the role - while the SK film had its faults it stood head and shoulders above the 2011 CtB travesty.

I'd love to see more of Kane. I liked the movie but they haven't done much with him since.

I'd love to see more of Kane. I liked the movie but they haven't done much with him since. Sadly as the film bombed the planned trilogy never happened. Also it took awhile for the rights to get to Cabinet from Wandering Star. |

BTW I see they also mentioned in the video that Conan has got its , not named yet , showrunner.

If it is true they want to start in Africa, I would surmise they could be doing 'Red Shadows' as it sets up some background characters.
Fingers crossed this is going to happen.

Yeah, unfortunately, it has been the same in the comics and other media. Conan first, and if they're lucky we get a little bit of Kull and Solomon Kane. Hopefully this series can change that. Obviously, I want the Conan series to do well but I feel there is so much more to explore in some of the other characters created by REH, like Kull & Kane. |

AT Howard Days, Frederik Malmberg said that all motion on the Kane series has stopped as they are throwing everything they can into getting the Conan series up and running. If that becomes a hit, then they feel they will have no problem getting Kane and other characters done.
