I just finished listening to the audio book version of the short story "Shadows in the Dark " by L. Sprague de Camp and Lin Carter because I read that it was a secuele to "Black Colossus" but after finishing I was really disapointed, the story its boring, everything just happend and by the end Conan is like "I DONT LOVE HER ANYMORE LETS GO", also Yasmela almost did not appear and the war conflicts on the kingdom of Khoraja are not mention that much either, maybe I like the "Black Colossus" too much and I was waiting for a big action-packaged secule. But what do you thing about the short story

It's a very problematic transition to get Conan out of Yasmela's arms and out into the world again. I'm not sure anyone ever got it right, from DeCamp to Thomas to Truman. Always depressing and downbeat and Conan always seems to get the shaft to some extent. I've always pictured Conan heading out like Plant sings in the first two verses of Ramble On (as opposed to RVZ's leaving in Freebird).

I feel you, I was so frustrated that am thinking into doing my own secuele myself.
