REH left such a diverse and rich literary legacy, it would be really nice to see it manifested as a dedicated video series or anthology, like some of the old TV shows of that type from the 50s, 60s, & 70s.
But what form should such a project take?
Would it be like the DC Extended Universe, mostly focusing on TV and/or streaming (with the occasional movie thrown in)?
Or would it take the form of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with mostly big budget films somehow interwoven into a larger narrative and a supporting set of smaller TV/streaming projects (like Marvel's offerings on Disney+)?
Which would better-suited to yielding a long-running project covering as much of his fiction as possible, without fizzling out prematurely, or losing viewership out of lack of interest, or too much studio tinkering (like Disney has done with Star Wars)?
Personally, I like the streaming approach (DCEU) with shorter projects, not necessarily interwoven all the time, featuring stand-alone tales and the occasional larger project or movie. There is certainly enough material for both, but the shorter format seems better suited to a Howard cinematic anthology which could be collected and shelved right alongside The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, and Boris Karloff's Thriller.

When Dark Horse Comics had the licence they released an anthology series called "Robert E. Howard Savage Sword" and featured a long list of Howardian heroes and even some side characters like Brule the spear-slayer but unfortunately didnt lasted that much, maybe a similar anthology aproach could work with a small number of high budget episode could work but not sure for how long a service or channel will risk. Also there was a rumor that some cable or streaming service was trying to create an anthology series based upon the "Wierd Tales Magazine" but no official information has surfaced.
