Regular cover by Barry Windsor-Smith Direct Market cover by Barry Windsor-Smith Conan The Barbarian: The Original Comics Omnibus Vol.1By Roy Thomas Illustrated by Barry Windsor-Smith For fans of Conan old and new, and a perfect way to discover the adventures of the famous Cimmerian, this is the definitive collection of Marvel’s classic 1970s Conan the Barbarian.
Born on a battlefield in the frozen lands of Cimmeria, Conan fights his way through the untamed kingdoms of the Hyborian Age, sparing no man, woman or wizard his wrath. His adventures will become legend and he will become king. Writer Roy Thomas and artist Barry Windsor-Smith brought Robert E. Howard’s iconic creation to four-color life with work that set new standards for comic book storytelling. This oversized Omnibus begins an historic series of collections of the original 1970 Conan the Barbarian comic book series with each issue painstakingly restored to match the majesty of the original editions. In these early exploits, a young Conan ventures from his homeland for the first time, honing his skills as a thief, mercenary, pirate and above all, warrior!776 Pages $125 RELEASE DATE: 14 JUNE 2023Regular cover by Neal Adams Direct Market cover by John Buscema Conan The Barbarian: The Original Comics Omnibus Vol.2
By Roy Thomas Illustrated by John Buscema and Gil Kane The adventure continues, in this collection of classic Conan stories, perfect for fans and collectors alike!
The legend of Conan continues! Tired of the thieving life, Conan signs on as a mercenary for the warring kingdom of Turan. The enemy will tell of Conan’s legendary skill in battle — if any of them live to tell the tale — but palace intrigue may prove more dangerous to the barbarian. After all, it’s never wise to bed a wizard’s woman. Then, Conan joins with Red Sonja for a multipart adventure. Last, but far from least, we present Roy Thomas and Gil Kane’s complete adaptation of “The Hour of the Dragon,” the iconic story of how Conan became king and conqueror and met the woman who would become his wife.

Looks very nice, I'd be perfectly happy with these compared to the originals. And...they come out what should be my post retirement era which means I may actually be able to buy and read these! Now I need to convince the wife and Mom about diversion of resources and storage areas...

Skimmed through the video and looks like Titan made some good choices in swapping out some of the covers. Does anybody know exactly what is left for both SSoC and CBoMY to complete the run?

Now I need to convince the wife and Mom about diversion of resources and storage areas... Yeah, these volumes seem like a more worthy investment.

Titan should just call it quits and concentrate on publishing the regular series. It is clear today they just can't release any Conan omnibus. I really miss Marvel here. They were doing an excellent job on the omnibus series. It is sad they just did not have time to finish the whole Savage Sword thing.

They were doing an excellent job on the omnibus series. It is sad they just did not have time to finish the whole Savage Sword thing. As their monthly titles were performing poorly sales wise , I _wonder_whether the later volumes of SSOC weren't selling enough to justify the time and cost to make them worthwhile carrying on with? My worry is that there may not be enough demand for many of the volumes Titan are planning to release , the first CtB/SSOC omnis., which I thought would be the one many would want, are already being fairly heavily discounted at Forbidden Planet in the UK.
