Has anybody noticed that the colors of the new Titan Conan the Barbararian omnibus do not match the original cover completely? They are slightly different in some parts... compare Marvel's and Titan's # 1 cover and you will see it. The DM cover looks good, though, I think. Someone in the restoration department made a mistake... In the videos Omar said that the Titan ones seem slightly lighter/brighter in colour.

Someone in the restoration department made a mistake... In the videos Omar said that the Titan ones seem slightly lighter/brighter in colour. They also altered the art of Barry Windsor-Smith on the Cover, giving Conan a more muscular arm: Here's what we shoulda got: ..and this is what the Titan cover looks like now! The left arm is more developed and there's additional flesh colour around Conan's torso - kinda looks like there's some webbing between his right arm and body and extra muscles below the left side of his chest!! Weird gotta be some kinda mistake or potentially, an over-zealous colourist working for Titan/Heroic Signatures. I found out about this from the MarvelMasterworks forum: www.tapatalk.com/groups/marvelmasterworksfansite/conan-the-barbarian-from-titan-comics-t38325-s2000.htmlThis was first noticed by artist Joseph Michael Linsner on his Facebook page:

And they also added shades of blue in the lower part of the cover where the fighting is happening that is not present in the original cover. This is very disappointing. I am surprised Titan approved it. Now I am wondering if the interior art has also been corrupted... what a mess, isn't it?

Was it an over enthusiastic colourist and they did not realise the cover was changed? I dunno, but either way it does not look good. I'm picking up the SSoC omnis by Titan and hope we don't get more of the same there. Volumes 5 to 8 by Marvel are still available, I'm considering picking them up and hopefully they don't interfere with the art in the remaining volumes.

The "Bulky Conan" looks utterly ridiculous. Like a draft, or improper, non-approved version accidentally got sent to the printer!
