The Invaders (1995 mini-series)

Does anyone here remember this mini from the 90s, a kind-of sequel to the old 1960s TV show? It starred Scott Bakula (of QUANTUM LEAP and STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE fame), with a guest appearance by the actor who played David Vincent, the protagonist of the original series.

I remember it’s viewed as a sort of but not quite sequel. I never saw the original series until MeTV ray it Saturdays at midnight a few years back. Did the mini go back to the deformed pinky tell of the aliens?

No; in fact very little from the original series was in the mini. It deviated quite drastically from the original in parts, hence why as I understand it, a great many fans of the original do not consider it a legitimate continuation.
