Does anyone have a good list of Marvel UK issues with Conan stories?
He shows up all over the place - Valour, Avengers, Planet of the Apes... It's hard to make sense of it all.

Ugh. It's messy. You can use the Grand Comics Database as a starting point, but not every issue is indexed. They began the reprints of Conan the Barbarian in 1975 as a weekly under the title Savage Sword of Conan, and then they started to combine it with Avengers and other stuff, with some hardbound annuals like the comic adaptation of the 1982 film.

I have this saved which covers Marvel UK in general , might be a starting point to try and check out the contents of the books in the order they were published with the GCDB dependant on what they have listed. starlogged.blogspot.com/2015/03/annex-of-ideas-history-of-marvel-uk.html

Thanks all. I found this in the meantime, which is a good lead. But it doesn't list issue numbers, so I'm still hoping someone here has already done the sleuthing britishcomics.fandom.com/wiki/Conan

I picked up the original SSOC , Avengers/SSOC weeklies , and the SSOC monthly at the time but they are long gone and I didn't carry on reading the other Marvel comics he popped up in.

I'm pretty certain we have a thread covering the UK comics, unfortunately can't seem to find it. I think the 1st volume of SSOC lasted 18 issues collecting reprints of BWS' early CtB run. After the cancellation of SSOC the Cimmerian continued to appear in the Avengers & SSOC issues between 95-148 - these issues reprinted the Buscema stuff but was cancelled before or during the Queen of the Black Coast adaptation issues by Thomas and Buscema: Conan also appeared in a comic called Valour lasting around 19 issues and the reprints seem to be set after the QotBC adaptation (never read any of these): Links that explain this stuff better than I can: tainthemeat.wordpress.com/2014/04/01/savage-sword-of-conan-weekly/starlogged.blogspot.com/2012/04/1975-76-avengers-and-savage-sword-of.html

The UK reprints of SSOC/ST proved to be more successful lasting for over 90 issues:

going from a mixture of memories and research (Note Marvel UK did have a tendency to censor art in the 1970s so some female characters may be wearing more in the UK edition of the early stories than in the original) started off with Savage Sword of Conan Weekly 1-18 (cancelled) continued in Avengers 95- 148 (cancelled) continued in Mighty World of Marvel 199-219 then switched to Planet of the apes 113-123 (cancelled) (If I remember rightly, reached issue 57 just short of Belit) revived in Marvel Comics (title changed from Mighty World of Marvel) 330-352 covering the early Belit issues at least as far as 65 (and maybe the Frost Giant's Daughter) the later Belit stories were not reprinted in the UK Valour 1-19 (cancelled) picked up the series from issue 101 continue in Future Tense 20-34 which continued as far as far as 112 (the conclusion of sons of the bear god) one issue was supposed to have 1 panel upside down but Marvel UK tried to "correct" that by printing the page upside down
There was also a Conan the Barbarian pocketbook 1-13 which started reprinting Conan the Barbarian from the beginning as far as issue 30 unusual art techniques in issue 30 meant that this printing had invisible monsters
Forces in Combat did not reprint any Conan but did reprint Kull 17-25
Savage Sword of Conan (UK) mostly reprinted stories from the US Savage Sword of Conan, plus stories from Savage Tales, Red Sonja (including 1 and a half issues of Conan the Barbarian from a crossover) with issue 85 it merged with Mighty World of Marvel and ended with 93

It's probably worth mentioning that while the Marvel UK stuff was entirely reprints, there was incidental art by usually-uncredited UK artists for title pages and things. This has never been collected or published, as far as I'm aware.
