The character now appears monthly in her own series, as well as a series of mini-series and one-shots, all published by Dynamite Entertainment.
“We truly live in an age undreamed of, as evidenced but the continuing trove of classic material, remastered and re-presented for a new audience, and the legion of old-school fans. These are classic tales of Red Sonja, from an all-star creative cast, re-mastered for today.” Said, Editor Joseph Rybandt.
The Further Adventures of Red Sonja Vol 1 will be solicited in the June issue of Diamond Previews catalog, the comic industry's premier source of merchandise for the comic book specialty market, and scheduled to ship in October of 2018. Readers are encouraged to order through their local comic retailers or through digital platforms courtesy of Comixology, Kindle, iBooks, Google Play, Dynamite Digital, iVerse, Madefire, and Dark Horse Digital. Does anyone know the story behind this? Is this a recent project or was it in a drawer waiting for a home?
It looks splendid either way.

So, this came onto the radar lately. It is at the Kinsey Institute, as part of their Tijuana bible/8-pager collection, where it was inaccurately labeled in their catalog as "c. 1935"; based on the Frank Thorne-style chainmail bikini, I would place this closer to c.1977 when Red Sonja got her own series from Marvel. I do have pictures of the inside, but not good ones; I'm hoping to get better scans at some point. No publication information, natch, but about what you might expect for a crude pornographic fan-production...and not without its charm.

Red Sonja Relaunches With New Creative Team in 2019The new creative team will be writer Mark Russell and artist Mirko Colak, with the first arc being based on the story of the historical Queen Tomyris of the Massagetae. "I really wanted to write a fantasy title that allowed me to work in some of the incredible stories and themes of ancient history, in particular, the story of Tomyris, the bad-ass Queen of the Steppes" Sounds like an interesting take.

Like the sound of this story-arc. I'm a little concerned about the execution.
