I bought the Solomon Kane RPG long ago but honestly didn't look much at it because it is written for Savage Worlds and I had no idea how to play that rules set. But, having finally getting a chance to play (and understand Savage Worlds better) the game, I plan to give it another look.
If anyone is interested, here is a list of the books in the product line: * The Savage World of Solomon Kane (core rulebook) * The Path of Kane (info on the world of SK) * The Savage Foes of Solomon Kane (monster book) * Traveler's Tales (scenario book) * There are also a couple of one-shot adventures as a PDF download on the company's website.
Has anyone played this game, and what are your impressions of it? Does the game capture the right feel of the REH fiction?

I haven't played the system, but I've heard from MANY people that it captures a pulp feel well. My main doubts would be in regard to the background/world-building/Howardian accuracy.

As a short follow-up, I got to play in a game of the Solomon Kane RPG in a local game store. I'm not sure that the GM was "historical" with his setting, but he ran a horror style game with witches and some creepy monsters that sucked off the faces of villagers. A lot of fun and I will probably pursue more Savage Worlds so that I can play more SK.

A good, short run-through of the SK bestiary below. I've never seen the supplement in question, but from the review, it looks like they got the world-building/background wrong. The SK tales are set in the Mythos, while Pinnacle is just using stuff from Witchfinder General or what you would find in a Dennis Wheatley novel. An opportunity was missed to take things bigger, deeper and scarier. However, it plays well -- from what I've heard -- so that's something.
