Me too except that I kept everything, because I have always seen on the net that those who sold these games and their figures did it at the purchase price, no interest for me, at this rate there, we will see that in a few decades Not to get too far off topic but it sure would be nice to have clairvoyance enough to know what the next big toy/collectable thing is going to be. To this day, I kick myself because I was there at the near-beginning of Magic: The Gathering and remember bitching about paying twenty bucks for a Black Lotus at Gen Con in Milwaukee. I have one that is worth about 10,000 now, a Mox Jet and a Juzam Djinn that I am grateful for, but it just stings to think that those cards were just floating around back then like nothing too special. We were buying boxes of Legends back then. If I would have invested even just a grand, I would be a millionaire right now and all the signs were there at that time. Just nuts remembering the gaming hall filled with Magic players walking around, picking up games, trading with most completely oblivious to what the future held.

And not to get too much further off topic, but, yeah — I hear ya! I had friends from high school, when Magic was just getting going, trying to get me to play it! I was into D&D and they were into D&D big-time. And it just stopped. All they were playing was Magic. Someone even gave me one of those little rule books to try and get me into it. I wish I had gotten into it; I never have. And I am one of those anal/OCD people that like to take care of stuff, so I'd probably be sitting on a gold mine if I'd only jumped down that rabbit hole!

Anyway, given the mass of resales that there have been of these Monolith games on Conan with their plastic miniatures just after the reception by their buyers and this continues today and all at ridiculous prices, there are must have been a lot of disappointments ... To play Conan nothing beats: boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/23572/royal-armies-hyborean-age

Does anyone know why this board game is so expensive? Other board games generally seem to be a lot cheaper. I'd really like to buy it, especially with all the good reviews I've read. But the price is hard to justify.

I bought it ten percent off on amazon. Still too expensive to feel like am not getting suckered a bit for being a Conan fan, But I couldn't resist after watching a couple of reviews for the board game.
